At the heart of the Toolbox is the Problem Solving Process. This helps people identify and access those tools that are
most appropriate at different stages of problem solving. By breaking the Problem Solving Process down into ten logical
steps it helps stop the natural urge to leap to solutions too quickly. This ensures changes are not entered into without
having first considered important issues such as, being clear about the causes behind reduced performance, identifying
the blockers and enablers to progress, or how success will be measured.
The Problem Solving Process is complemented
by tools for:
Stimulating creative thinking
Cause and effect analysis
Prioritisation and alignment
Learning from others
Process Mapping
Understanding Linkages
Organising Successful Meetings
As with all the other stages of the Planning for Success© framework, the toolbox reflects what
is being used effectively by people at all levels
in leading organisations worldwide.
