Many organisations already use a range of well-respected organisational
management systems; ISO accreditation, Investors in People, EFQM
self-assessment, Best Value reviews, balanced scorecards, planning
templates, and problem-solving tools.
However, it is also clear that in many organisations the overwhelming majority
of people would view most or all of these valuable tools as ‘another initiative’
that will ‘probably go away and re-emerge in a different form in the not too distant
future’. The constant flow of initiatives and change perpetuates a culture that
tolerates non-compliance with effective application of the all-important
performance management methods.
Developed from the practices of high performing organisations, Planning for
Success© deliberately avoids the trap of having performance management
systems that are so sophisticated they can only be used by a few experts. By
focusing on approaches that really work, Planning for Success© provides a
framework and a range of techniques that are relevant, practical and effective
for all managers and their teams. |
