The EFQM Excellence Model™ is recognised by thousands of organisations as the premier management
discipline for producing superior and sustainable results. It is recommended by the United Kingdom's
Department of Trade and Industry, as well as the Confederation of British Industry. It is also integrated into
other performance management approaches, such as ISO and Investors in People.

It is a flexible framework applicable to organisations of all sizes, private or
public. It can be a very powerful tool for understanding the connectivity
of every part of the organisation, and for identifying both strengths and
improvement areas. But it must be used in a way that reflects the
uniqueness of each organisation and the state of its maturity in terms
of performance management.

Because of the relatively modest initial investment, primarily in time and
learning, many organisations that would like to use the Model never get
around to reaping the benefits. As a result they under-perform their potential
- in many cases significantly. Other organisations have failed to implement
the Model in practical ways that suit the organisation, and have consequently
written it out of their performance management toolbox.

Drawing on extensive experience, Excellence in Practice therefore
concentrates on helping each individual client develop practical
ways of getting real benefits out of the Model.
